The book covers: The Czech and Slovak editions of Angélique in 13-14 volumes
In the Czech and Slovak Republic, there were started at once five editions of Angélique, but only two of them were complete.The first edition of Angélique is published in Slovak language by Tatran (Bratislava) - in the first half of the ‘70s, however, the series ends in the 6th part. In the ‘90s, only then there are Angélique books published in Czech language: first by publisher the Československý spisovatel and after the split of Czechoslovakia, the edition continues by publisher the Český spisovatel (Prague). In the Slovak Republic, there is the first complete edition (also takes place in the ‘90s) divided between the publishers Tatran and Slovenský spisovateľ (Bratislava). The second Czech and the third Slovak edition was started in the late ‘90s by the publishers Czech Ikar (Prague) and Slovak Media Klub (Bratislava), however, it ends in the third part.
Among the most obvious differences between the Czech and Slovak editions, there includes the typical division into two books in Czech version, then custom title for the second part of the book 'Angelika v Quebeku' (Angélique in Québec) as 'Angelikino rozhodnutie' (The Decision of Angélique) in Slovak version, that it is in result a shift from a series of thirteen parts to the position of a series of fourteen parts.
